Tommy Doyle is a former Police Detective who was falsely accused by a jealous fellow officer. Once exonerated Tommy became disillusioned with the force and in particular one officer who blamed for the problems he underwent, believing he was behind them. Leaving the force Tommy became a Private Investigator although he maintained a good relationship with his long time friend and fellow officer Pete ‘Mac’ Mackintosh. Pete and the guys in the squad room all felt Tommy had been badly treated so are always willing to help him with his investigations whenever possible.
